There is a lovely song- Best things in life our free. Maybe that is why we do not value the gift of river flowing through our lovely town, Panchkula. I, Tapasya Sharma am a citizen of Panchkula and wish to restore River Ghaggar to its prinstine beauty through Save River Ghaggar campaign. This is a mammoth task, which can only be made possible when the residents of tri city come together. Thus let us all Save our dearest river Ghaggar, so that our future generations can also witness its beauty.

I VISHAL RANA was doing my 75 Day Swachhta Challenge in which I was cleaning Roads and other areas in my locality, it was during this time that I got to know about the Save River Ghaggar Campaign. Since then, I have participated in many clean-up and awareness drives held at River Ghaggar to help preserve the River. I also organised a Cleaning Competition on the bank of River Ghaggar in which almost 50 people participated. All the members of this campaign took part in the competition where we cleaned more than 1000 Kgs of solid non biodegradable waste from the river. All we can do is try, and we are definitely doing that.
I, Dr D R Saroha, joined Save Ghaggar campaign about two years back as it pained me to see all kinds of garbage being thrown in the river making it more of a dump yard than a perennial river. I was part of several cleaning drives and also approached, along with my colleagues, authorities in the Panchkula administration as well as municipal councillor to take steps to make Ghaggar clean. I wish to see this historical river not carrying mud and trash but crystal clear water so that one can come and enjoy beautiful mornings and evenings on its banks and feel blissful!
